Blog#39

 

Today in class I finished up working on my website that I have created. :) All I need to do now is create a picture slide show for my facility page. Then pretty much the website will be done and ready to turn in tomorrow. I can't wait to show it to my horse trainer, I'm hoping she will like the new and improved SPH website. :D The new website has a video, slide shows, and a cool colorful background. I will probably print out the web pages from the Internet so I can keep them in my web design book I have at home.

In class today I finally figured out what to do with my contact page. :) I haven't learned anything new yet, but I am working on that. I got some more ideas for the website. The website is coming along great, I'm getting pretty excited to show the finished outcome of it. Now just the next step is that I have to figure out how to publish it to the world wide web.....

I am just about done with my website. :) Just a few adjustments here and there, but everything is coming together nicely. I am getting excited to show my trainer the "New" and improved SPH website. It has videos that people can get a god look at. I'm excited to know that I have taught myself a lot while working on this website. I haven't started on my e-folio,due to that I have been working so hard on my website for my trainer. So I hope you can take my website as a grade? Me and flash aren't the best of friends, flash isn't my favorite software to use. :/

Today in class, we had a guest speaker. I look forward to finishing my website to my horse trainer. Her website is bland, so I'm making her a new one so that people don't get bored looking at  her website. :)

Today I finished my lessons video and placed it into my website ^_^ I am just about finished with my website. I am getting excited to show my trainer the finished product of the pages I have created for her. I'm hoping she will like it as much as I do. But I think she will :) I learned how to create a video with music in photoshop on my own. I basically taught myself.

I did it! :D I taught myself how to insert a video slide show into my website! :D It feels pretty cool to learn something new. ^_^ Today I worked on my website and inserted my video slide show into my homepage. Next class I hope to export my lesson video into a quick time video just like I did with my slide show. I just didn't figure it would be such a good idea if I started that right now with class almost over. It is longer than the slide show, so I figured it would take longer to export. :) I can't wait till next class to do that. I'm pretty excited. My website is coming along great.

Today in class I spent majority of my time finishing my videos. Now next class period I will spend it figuring out how to place my video into my website pages. :) I am feeling good about my website, I enjoy working with photoshop and dreamweaver. They both are actually working with me ^_^ . I learned today that I am able to "Paint" on photoshop video stuff, it was pretty cool.

Today in class I spent time looking at different photoshop brushes. I plan to maybe put a soft brush backing to my video title page to give it some texture. I relearned how to save a brush that I have found on the web. I plan to create some more. But I also will create at home so I am able to work on my website. And finishing that up. :)

I have done it!! :D I have figured out how to create a video in photoshop. :) That is what I have learned something new. I learned how to import pics into photoshop and create a movie slide show for my homepage. Now the next step for me to do is figuring out how in the world I am able to place it into my website. Guess I will figure that out when I get to that point. :) I look forward to next class period so I can finish my videos and place them into my website.

Today, I was looking for a good video editing software. Since they took out windows video maker, I'm not sure how to create a video. :( I will keep looking next class period and also working on my website. I'm hoping I will be able to insert a video into my lessons page in my website. I think it would be cool to have a preview video for people to look at. Something different in a website. :)

I will be doing some research on how you are able to use a free slide show in photoshop. I figured it would be cool to put some motion on the homepage of my website. I didn't learn anything new today for that I was continuing work on my SPH website. I hope to find out how I am able to put a slide show in Internet explorer. I can't wait till next class so I will be able to work on my website some more. :)

Class today, started off by me going to my camps page in my website and fixing the pictures in order the way that looks good. I finally figured out how to set them up in order for them to fit beside the camps image. I learned to put them in a table tag and align them under each other. I will continue working on my website more at home for alittle bit, then also I cannot wait till Thursday so I can continue working and almost finishing my website. :D

Today was my b-day. :) So brought the class a chocolate roll that was really good. I also continued working on my website for my client. I didn't learn anything new since I was sprucing up my pages. I need to look into seeing how to put a image slide show on my home page where I don't have to put just one image on the whole homepage, I would be able to show multiple images in a slide show. Which would be really cool and different. I look forward to tomorrow as I do research on on to place a image slide show in dreamweaver.

Today, I had a fustrating moment, I will need help aligning some pictures in my camps page. For some reason, they are wanting to go on top of the picture already on the page. So I can't figure that one out. But other thatn that, the website is coming along great. I need to get my video of the lessons for the lesson page, and video for the homepage. I didn't learn anything new today, but hte website is coming along great. I can't wait till im fully finished and I can publish it. Hopefully..... :)

Class today was very productive, I went ahead and scanned my two photos of horses I needed to add to my website. I need three more horses to put pictures of in my website. I hope to get those three pictures on wed when I head to the barn to see my horse Winnie. I will also get pictures of the facility to put on the facility page so when people visit the website, they can get a good look at how well our facilities is. :) I am also looking forward to seeing how I am able to insert video into an html doc. I plan to take video for the lesson and home page. When you look at some other websites pertaining horse lessons, you don't see a preview of the trainer giving the lessons. So i figured it would be cool to insert video or a "preview" video of a lesson. So when people visit my website, they are able to see how my trainer teaches. I also plan to make a video for the home page, I think it would be awesome if I put together a SPH family fun video, so people can see how laid back we are. We have fun when it comes to our horses.

Blog#23

 

School is back in session. Today we came back from our long "fall break". Sadly the break has ended, but I'm glad to be back working on my web page. :) I have a couple a things to finish up with, that consist of taking barn pics for the facility page, taking pics of the horses I don't have pictures for, and taking video of the lessons coming up. phew....that's a lot I gotta get accomplished, but I am positive I am able to work hard to get this website made and finished the way it needs to be finished. :) Also, today I didn't learn anything new since today was a manic day. I like manic days, just I don't like how we only have 45 min class in my favorite class of the day, it's hard to get stuff done that you would like to accomplish in the day. I am ready for tomorrow so I can continue working on my website.

Today, I continued working on my pages. I will need help aligning some pictures the next time I am in class. Although some of this is frustrating at times, the pages look great. I have been just working on my pages so I haven't really learned anything new yet. Once I get my videos I need, I will learn how to place a working video in dreamweaver.

Today I learned how to put an vlink and alink tag in my body tags to make the underlined hyperlinks go the same color. I continued to work on my webpages, finaly started on the lessons page, and now I will have to get he pictures my client would like me to put on her website. :) I can't wait to see my website all finish, and I can look at it and say "that's my website, I created that website." I am also planning to maybe take video of a lesson to put in the website.

Today was an odd day instead of all block :) I don't enjoy having all blocks on Mondays, quite frankly I don't like having all block at all. Today I continued work on my web pages and they are turning out great. I will be meeting with my client tomorrow night to get the pictures she would like to see on her website. I didn't learn anything really new today, I just kept working on my website.

I continued working on my website after word of the day. I am learning a lot by me just figuring things out for myself, and if I have questions I ask my teacher. Today was laid back again, I just continued working and making progress on my website, but now I need to take a few pictures to give my website some color. :) I can't wait till next class period to work hard again. I am almost finished, I just need to add a few extra stuff.

I started class off by typing the word of the day. Than I continued work on my Sharp Performance Horses website. It is coming along great, but there is still a few more things I need to work out in dreamweaver. I might see if I want to maybe read more on flash and create a animated horse or something, just to put another thing into my website. :) Today was pretty laid back, I'm not a big fan of Monday's, specially in school. I hate having every class....

Dreamweaver was actually coroperating with me today :) I got quite a few pages done on my website, and it is coming along great. I have just a few more pages to finish up then I should be rapping things up. Today I learned how to underline text in an HTML file. I continue to work hard everyday to accomplish my goal of making my first website for my first client.

Today I did not forget my flash drive at home :) I got started right away on my website. I am starting to figure my way around dreamweaver and everything so far is going well, I put all my web pictures I want on my website in my dreamweaver folder that way I can see the picture right away on the preview in the browser. I still need to make adjustments on the home page but that can wait till I finish all the pages. Then I will be able to go back and make each and everything perfect. Today I learned that in dreamweaver, you have to have all the pics you want in your website, in a dreamweaver folder. That way the computer knows that you want that particular pic in your website.

Class today was spent non-productively...I left my flash drive at home on accident that had my dreamweaver stuff on it. So today was spent working somewhat on my flier that I will try to create. And really, I am so tired. I worked all day non-stop at a horse show helping lesson children tack up there horses and be on time to the show ring. So today I'm just wiped out from running like a chicken with it's head cut off all day sunday. I continue to work on my website and learn new things. :)

Wow, today I actually got kinda far in creating my website. A lot of it is still frustrating at times but I think I'm getting the hang of researching my questions on the web and figuring out the problem on my own. :) Today I learned that I am able to open my HTML document in dreamweaver and continue work on it. I am still worried that I will not be able to complete the assignment of the e-folio at the end of the semester. Yes, the semester is not over till December but still, December will be here before I know it. So I just have myself worried sick if I am able to get all my creating done on time..I don't know if I will be able to. I will keep up the good work and keep moving forward in my progress though.

Class started off with a funny word of the day, the word was Knotty meaning Complex; difficult to solve. LOL :) Then I began working again on my website, it's starting to get to me on how difficult it is going to be in creating a good website for my horse trainer and her business. Right now dreamweaver, photoshop and I are not working together well..I am getting frustrated on how to bring my photoshop layouts into dreamweaver and edit them easily without having to redo anything to the page layout. I keep telling myself to keep moving forward in the progress but I am not sure I will be able to create such a good website that I want to create in dreamweaver and photoshop in the amount of time I am given. But like I said I keep searching the adobe website and researching some questions I might have. So far I have found some really helpful websites I am able to use such as tutorials that are free for me to look at and reference.

Today in class I had a hard time focusing, I was getting frustrated at dreamweaver and my photoshop layout for my website. I think what is happening is that I just want the "easy way out" in completing my e-folio and my website I am creating for my horse trainer. But I keep telling myself to not give up and to do some research on my questions I have with dreamweaver. I am alittle scared because I am not positive I will be able to get my e-folio and my website done in time for end of semester 1. I keep pushing my self to do stuff out of the box on my website. I also keep telling myself that I can get the two things in class, done before end of semester 1. And I think I can...maybe.

Class started off as it always does, with word of the day. After completing word of the day, I started back working on my website that I plan to create for my horse trainers business. So far it is coming along, but I am having trouble in dreamweaver in creating the page layout like I want. It is not looking out how I planed it would look in the end. I keep on keeping on and doing the best work I can, I been doing some research and asking my own questions. I am worried that I will not be able to complete this assignment before the end of the semester. I am just slower than other people in my class so it will take me a alittle bit for me to complete this assignment. But I plan to keep doing my best and each day work hard in completing my website.

Today was the day! Today, I finished my page layouts using adobe photoshop. Now I need to show my page layouts to my first client and see what she thinks of my Creation. As soon as she approves that she likes what I have created, I will begin to build the website fully in dreamweaver and begin my exploring with that software. :) Now I am beginning the flier part.

Word of the day is what we started the day off by doing. After completing the word of the day, I began working and finishing my page layouts for my trainers website in photoshope. I have just about completed all my pages. I am excited to show my first client what I have created. :) I learned how to create multiple documents to sort out all my pictures and files needed to put into my website.

Class started off by typing up the word of the day. After word of the day we pretty much had the rest of the class period to work on our websites and or e-folios. Today I learned how to space everything evenly in photoshop by using the grid tool as a guide, I also remembered to bring my flash drive so I was able to look at my key ideas that I had created from home. :) I look forward to this class pretty much everyday, I love to create new things using the web and the computer software.

Today started off slow, I had forgotten my flash drive that contained all my photos I had for the website at home on my dresser. I completed the second page layout for the website though, and it is looking pretty cool. :) We did start class by typing word of the day with typing three words. Tomorrow will be even better when I bring in my flash drive in that has a lot of pictures I am able to incorporate into the website. Overall the class is going good, I'm enjoying the time I have to create my own ideas and learn new things whether that be in class or on a new software I will/am using.

Today was the day, today I started creating the page layouts of my website I'm going to be building for my trainer Mary Sharp. I started working in photoshop creating each page and how it will look when the full web page is up and running. The pages I'm creating will give Mary and idea on how the whole website will look when the final copy if finished and published. :) I learned how to create a group folder in photoshop to move or "copy" my already existing layers into another document so that I wouldn't have to keep creating the same stuff over and over. I am able to copy and paste my layers and start creating new items for the page.

Blog #4

 

Today's class period started off by me looking into each of my three books on each software I am going to use to create my E-folio for the end of the semester, creating a website and flier for my horse trainers lesson program. I first need to bring in my flash drive that I have all my ideas and past files on at home to class. By using my flash drive I will be able to bring my works that I have done with my home computer into class and put into my E-folio. I also use my flash drive to put any notes, ideas, and again my past works I have created. I plan on creating an animation piece for the website I plan to create just to give the website more pizazz. I want my website to not be boring when people enter it, I want people to interact with each item that is on my website. I also need to take video and pictures of the lesson program just so people have an idea on what goes on in a horse riding lesson that my trainer teaches. I am excited to get to work with creating, but first I need to take pictures and video and bring them in on my flash drive. I added pictures,video, and flash drive on my "to-do" list. :)

Blog #3

 

The class started off by typing up the word of the day and the definition to the word. After we completed the word of the day, some of us received our books that Mrs. McNaney had ordered for us. :) I have received the three books that I had ordered, the three were: Adobe Flash CS6, Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am pretty excited to learn more about each software I have chosen to work with,  I'm also excited to begin work on my E-folio. Working with all three software I hope to experience new ways to expand my creativity when working with websites. My plan after high school is to either major or minor in web/graphic designing since I enjoy designing my own creations. I also want to create web pages for people wanting to put there business out on the world wide web. So I'm pretty excited to get started with exploring the three different software. :)

Blog #2

 

Today I did research, located books needed, and decided on what software I would be using for my designing. I have chosen to use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dream weaver, and Adobe Flash as my designing tools for web design II. I'm pretty excited about reading the books I have chosen to read/work out of to learn new ways and tools to create web sites. Also in class we explored on how to use one-note 2010 for each time we have class, for of word of the day. I find that it is a much easier way of writing notes down, rather than using paper and pen to write notes. I look forward to creating web sites and exploring what I can really do when I design.

Blog #1

I never used or heard of blogger before today, I like how it is pretty easy to use. I learned more about how to used blogger by exploring the website for new ways to change the settings of my blogs backgrounds, color, adding people who are able to read my blogs etc. It's pretty neat. I would like to experiment in each designing software to see what interests me the most and what I will take interest in learning more about. I plan on doing some research on each software we use in Web Design II just to get an idea on what each one does and which one would maybe be the one for me to do my creating in. I see myself leaning more torwards Dreamweaver and Photohop for my creations, but we will see after I do some reasearch on each software. :)
